LAWTELL THE ART CAT - Fats Domino’s Blue Heaven painting

They call, they call me the Fat Cat ’cause I weigh 14 pounds. This painting of Fats Domino’s Blue Heaven is a real flight of fancy. Fats Domino kept living in this heavenly little house in New Orleans’ Ninth Ward even after he was rich and famous. I so admire him for staying true to his roots. This painting makes clear just whose house it is, with the domino shutters and the blocks spelling Fats flying off into the sky. My humans went to visit Fats’ house recently, but Fats couldn’t hear them knocking since he’s no longer with us. Ain’t That a Shame! But his great music will be with us forever.

If you roll over the painting image, you’ll see me playing a round of dominoes among the clouds, feeling heavenly, in tribute to Fats. Since in dominoes the only requirement is matching dots, playing dominoes is almost too simple to keep my attention. It helps if I pretend the dots are little mice. One, two... yum. I play solitaire as there will only ever be one Antoine Domino.

By the way, all my outfits are virtual. I know they look great on me, but I'm a haughty cat and I won't tolerate being stuffed into clothes. That’s for lesser beings best known as dogs. They’ll do anything for a biscuit.

It would make me soooo happy if you tell your friends you like me, send them a link. I crave attention, ’specially when it leads to canned food...

Sincerely meow,
