I’d like to introduce myself. I’m one cool cat. After doing hard time on the streets, I now live in air conditioned comfort. My name is where I come from, the town of Lawtell, Louisiana, in the heart of Zydeco music country. Are you tired of viruses, politics, wildfires and hurricanes? Well, you’re in the right place.
And I don’t understand why people like that old grumpy cat on the internet. Who wants to be grumpy? Me, I’m a happy cat and I almost always have a smile on my face. I have plenty to smile about. I live the proverbial life of Riley. Who was Riley anyway? And how did he have it so good? My human treats me like the king that I am and I want to let you know about the wonderful paintings she creates.
Since moving to the big city of New Orleans, I’ve become sophisticated and consider myself to be quite the art connoisseur. I’ve slept on more coffee table books of masterworks than most cats have ever dreamed of. DaVinci, Kahlo, O’Keefe, Monet, you name ’em, I’ve slept on ’em.
I spend most days, when I’m awake (yawn), watching over my pet human while she works. She’s spent years devoted to painting. In my own less than humble opinion, it has paid off. I have a refined appreciation of art and I want to share my perspective on her artwork with you. While I may be just the tiniest bit biased, I believe my human artist to be absolutely brilliant. Just give me the chance to prove it to you. Move over Rembrandt!
Much as I love the paintings, I love chicken paté more, and if painting sales help keep my rather rotund, yet always hungry, tummy full, then I’m all for it! Let me be your maitre’d at a restaurant of delectable art. Food is never far from my mind.
