The luminous mushroom corals in this painting, along with the blue ones in the painting titled Selene, fluoresce under ultraviolet light. To me, with my discerning cat eyes, these fluttering flowery corals look like tutus just waiting for ballet dancers to slip them on. Roll over the image above to see me in mine. Of course, I would only wear it outside the house if I was in the Crescent City Classic foot race, as many male humans do. It’s not quite red enough for the Red Dress Run (where everybody wears one). It does make me feel a little like a sugar plum fairy. But you know I prefer meats to sweets!
Speaking of otherworldly beings, this painting’s named after Eos, the Greek goddess of dawn, who’s sometimes depicted with wings. While the corals don't have wings (wouldn’t that look silly?), I’ve donned a pair in her honor that I got from a parade float at the last Mardi Gras. Add some light to your house with this painting and bring on the dawn!
